Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Scale Up Solutions ("we", "us"). They cover your use of Scale Up Ledger, our cloud accounting software for businesses in Cambodia ("the Service"). By you creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you can bind that business.

2. Your account

Give us true information. Keep your password secret. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the people you invite. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Free trial

New accounts get a free trial of 7 days. No payment card is needed. The trial includes Scale Up Ledger, Power BI reporting and the Accounting and Expense bots.

The trial ends by itself. After it ends, the web app and the API lock until you subscribe. We keep your data for 90 days after the trial ends, so you can subscribe and carry on. After that we may delete it.

4. Fees and payment

After the trial, Scale Up Ledger costs $30.00 per month plus 10% VAT. Add-ons cost the price shown in Billing when you buy them. You pay in advance for the period you choose, by the payment methods shown in Billing.

We do not refund a period you have already paid for, unless the law says we must. We tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.

5. Your data

Your data stays yours. You give us the right to store and process it only to run the Service for you. We keep backups. We handle personal data as our Privacy Policy says. You can export your reports and journals at any time. After your account ends, ask us for your data within 30 days.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of your books, invoices and tax returns, and for filing them on time with the General Department of Taxation and other authorities. The Service helps you prepare them. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Check important figures with a qualified accountant.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to record false or fraudulent transactions, or to harm others. Do not try to get into other clients' data. Do not attack, overload or reverse-engineer the Service. Do not resell it without our written consent.

8. Other services

The Service works with other providers, for example Telegram, email delivery and payment providers. Their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for them.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service running and to fix faults quickly. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may do maintenance and updates. Contact us for support at the address below.

10. Limits on our liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or lost data that results from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, or if you do not pay. We will tell you first when we reasonably can.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We tell you by email or in the Service before a material change starts. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

The laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia govern these terms. The courts of Phnom Penh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
